PHOTONIC POINTILLISM
Photonic Pointillism is a self-taught technique in which thousands of hand-drilled perforations transform a solid surface into an image made of light.
Instead of applying pigment onto a surface, material is removed. Light then emerges from within the artwork itself, turning each drilled opening into a point of illumination.
The holes vary between approximately 1 mm and 2 mm, depending on the desired intensity, detail and optical effect. Together they create a luminous image that changes with distance, darkness and perspective.
Light itself becomes the medium.
