PAPEL AMATE (2025)

First presented during the Go Beyond exhibition in Nosara, Costa Rica, the Papel Amate Series combines traditional Mexican craftsmanship with the geometrical language of the Sakrosankt symbol.

Created on authentic handmade Papel Amate, a pre-Hispanic bark paper from Mexico, each work explores one of the seven geometrical principles embedded within the Sakrosankt symbol. The underlying designs were originally developed during my travels through Mexico years earlier and are reinterpreted here through a dialogue of geometry, material and texture.

All works are unique originals and presented in handcrafted teak wood frames made by the artist.
